Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is one such authority that regulates WHS Act (Workplace Health & Safety) in most of the private firms in the state leaving a few exceptions like mining, transportation and self employed people. OSHA monitors as well as approves the safety standards of workplaces for every private employee in the state as well as it make sure that every employer is following atleast minimum standard in providing of what we call a workplace free from acknowledged serious hazards. OSHA also limits the employer in taking inappropriate action against employees who complains about potential safety concerns in the company.
