The health illness continuum says that a person's health varies throughout the day from very good health to good health to normal health to poor health to extremely poor health or even death.There are many physiological,psychological and social factors that play an important role.

Leukaemia is often a chronic disease.The person suffering from it has really though times.The person often experiences frequent rise in temperature, becomes susseptible to infection, feels weak and fatigued.When undergoing the treatment for leukemia which includes chemotherapy,bone marrow transplantation, isolation due to high risk of infection it affects the patient physiologically, psychologically and socially.The health of the patient keeps oscillating between poor health to very poor health,if the treatment is effective the move to normal health if not then gradually moves to death.
