Healthy diet : A nutritious healthy diet consisting of fresh vegetables and fruits with low fat foods and high proteins is absolutely essential, also the calories intake should not be excessive and should be within limits.

Physical exercise: Daily physical exercise has shown to be beneficial in various research's and even a light to moderate exercise at least three to four times a week is beneficial.

Weight reduction: Obesity places an individul at a high risk for heart diseases so it is important to lose weight as it also helps in reduction of blood pressure.

Stop smoking: Reduction or completely stopping smoking is very important as smoking is very dangerous and one of the main causes cardiovascular disease.

Stress: Daily stress such as work or personal stress is also deterimental for health and reduction through exercise, meditation and other coping mechanisms can be used.
