We can guide a member to identify a specific and measureable goal by ensuring that our goals are clear and well defined as only the clear, discrete and well defined goals can be measured.   For this we have to identify exactly what we want to see, hear and feel when upon achieving our goal. This requires breaking down of the goal into targets that are achievable and measurable. The goals should be relevant, and attainable, (yourcoach, 2020). Thus we have to ensure that the goals are SMART goal having all the characteristics Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely.
