When we talk about the poem, "Richard Cory" by Edwin Arlington Robinson, one thing is very clear to all the readers that having good looks and a lot of wealth does not guarantees happiness. These are somethings that other people can envy you about. These things can make you feel good for sometime but happiness something which worth way more than these. Happiness is an inner feeling and does not require good looks, lot of money or a beautiful partner. It can be anything from chirruping of birds in the first hour of dawn or the silence of the oceans. Happiness can be a loaf of bread for a beggar, glass of water for a thirsty traveller, landscape for an artist, letter for a lover or a company for left out peson. In simple words, the x factor is the realization and completion of the missing part in one's life that make every person happy.
