Urinary Tract Infections is an Infection in any part of urinary system like kidneys , bladders etc . which is commonly found in children.. If a nurse is planning a staff Education conference about prevention of UTI in children , then it should include -.

1. The prevention should focus on treating the infections and prevent it's reoccurrence by assessing the signs and symptoms related to UTI.

-. Assessing changes in urinary pattern .

- Provide knowledge about antibiotics and preventive Health care measures to patients or parents

-. Assessing the symptoms  like colour of urine , odour etc.

2. Regular Diagnosis based on assessment data and diagnose the acute pain and if parents have correct information about the preventive measures.

3. The main aim of all staff members is to reduce pain and discomfort , of patients and avoid complications.

4. Nurses should take measures like encourage patient to drink large amount of fluids , encourage frequent voiding  urine   every 2to 3 hours to empty the bladder frequently and avoid urinary irritants like tea , colas etc.

5. Evaluating the outcomes such as if there is reduction in pain or discomfort or not ..Or in other cases take doctors advice.

6.provide  discharge and Home Care guidelines like personal hygiene , adequate fluids intake , therapy and strictly taking the antibiotics prescribed by physician.

8. Plan of care , Teaching plan , attainment or progress desired outcome , modification to plan of care if required.
