There are three types of prevention:-

Primary prevention:- primary prevention aims to spread awareness through the healthy people to prevent development of a disease .

Awareness or activities like risk of alcohol consumption ,risk of smoking , vaccination etc fall under primary prevention.

Secondary prevention:- secondary prevention aims to detect the disease in early stage so that it can be prevented to become worsen.

Memography to detect breast cancer is an example of secondary prevention.

Tertiary prevention:- Tertiary prevention aims to reduce and improve the already developed disease so that people can live normal life with disease.

Hair transplantation , replacement of missing teeth are example of Tertiary prevention.

Prenatal care :- prenatal care aims to spread awareness during pregnancy to prevent many health problem of mother and embryo. It's aims to aware mother for regular check-ups which leads to furture benefits of both mother and child. It fall under primary prevention.
