Patient-Centered Care: J.K.'s family wants to know if her tumor surgery caused her hemorrhagic stroke and if so, what they should watch out for at home.
Family should notice the symptoms in the patient, like;
•Dizziness, nausea or vomiting
•Unusually severe headache
•Confusion, disorientation or memory loss
•Numbness, weakness in an arm, leg or the face, especially on one side
•Abnormal or slurred speech
•Loss of vision or difficulty seeing
•Loss of balance, coordination or the ability to walk.
If so, then family should do;
•Monitoring of heart rate , blood oxygen levels(spo2), and blood pressure.
•Provide open airy room to the patient for the adequate oxygen supply.
•Intravenous route is needed so that fluids and medications can be given to the patient, especially if the person is unconscious.
•Give sufficient amount of fluid to the patient.
•If any medication is going on, so administer medication on time.
• Inform doctor on time.
