Office copier and fax machines needs maintainence to prolong their life time.

Maintenance techniques needed to be followed to keep copier clean and functioning are as follows:-

1. Use of high quality paper

it will reduce the paper shedding and paper being trapped inside the machine. Hence, reducing the need for internal maintainence.

2. Read the instruction manual of the printer thoroughly to fully optimise the use of copier machine.


3. Copier glass is to be cleaned

The cloth to be used while cleaning is to be non abrasive, so that the glass does not have scratches. Also while copying, the staple pins needed to be removed to prevent scratches.
4. Use genuine parts

While changing the ink cartridge the genuine cartridge /ink advised from the company should be used.

5.Never use wet paper for the machine.

6. Regular service maintainene should be done by the company service providers.

7. Internal cleaning and dusting should be done using dry cloth.

8.Cotton swabs dipped in water or isopropyl alcohol to get rid of dust found on the cartridge area.

9. In case of any malfunctions, the repair is to be done by company enlisted professional technicians only.

By using above maintainence techniques the life of the printer /copier can be prolonged.
