Answer #1

Ans:- In order to achieve corporate goals or company's goals, cooperation, and coordination among the human resources i.e the employees working in an organization to achieve that goal is very important. It means a specific goal which a company or an organization is trying to achieve cant be achieved by individual performances. For example, only a good financial manager or IT manager cant be able to achieve the company's desired goal. It's a team game everybody needs to contribute and in that scenario cooperation and coordination among the team is really important for the success of the company.

And in that case communication network plays a very important role in order to maintain cooperation and coordination within the department or with other departments trying to achieve the desired goal. communication network defines how the information will flow within the organization through a hierarchy. Generally, the information is not a free flow in an organization but it is through a proper system and in a structured way. communication network not only helps in passing information but it also helps to solve the problems at different levels which helps to create a bridge between seniors and juniors which in turn helps to create trust within the teams and that's why it helps in proper cooperation and coordination within the team. communication networks can be formal or informal.

1. Formal communication networks:- It is the one which is defined or created by the management and described by an organizational chart. The organizational chart is nothing but it tells how the information will flow within the organization i.e upwards, downwards or horizontal. The information is passed through email, memos, etc

(i) Upward communication networks - when the information flows from subordinates to superior to discuss the work-related problem and to discuss the different issues which are a hindrance in achieving the desired goal.

(ii) Downward communication networks - when the flow of information is from superiors to subordinates briefing them about the task, what needs to done and what-not.

(iii) Horizontal communication Network- when the communication is done within the same department or with co-workers to solve the problems.

2 Informal communication network- In this case, the information does not flow in a particular direction. for example - when the co-workers meet outside the office and discuss their interest and issues. This is usually not important form the company's perspective

This communication Network gives the precise and clear picture of the task which is to be achieved and how it is to be achieved and the information is passed through every level of the organization in a proper and structured way and it is a continuous process. Through this communication network, every departments and team which are working on the desired goal can cooperate and coordinate easily within the organization to achieve that goal.
