Homework Answers

Answer #1

To ensure that the meetings that the chairperson conducts are focused, time efficient and achieve the desired outcome, he should follow the following steps -

1. Consider who will attend the meeting

This is very essential because the more the number of people the less is the chance of desired outcomes. Therefore if the meeting needs to be focused then invite only those people who have good information about the agenda of the meeting

2. The objective of the meeting must be clear

The purpose of the meeting must be specific and well defined. Therefore, it should be clear that the objective of the meeting is to come to a specific solution or to alert people that there is a change in strategy.

3. Follow up

It is quite common for people to come from the same meeting with very different interpretations so it is essential to take follow ups within 24 hours of meeting.
