The biggest advantage of BPO is that it increases the speed of business processes. They take care of the additional and ancillary activities of the business while the organisations can keep their focus on their core business activities. This increases the speed of business processes and helps in global development. BPO also allows an organisation to be more flexible and is extremely cost effective. It allows the business to obtain and access skilled manpower which may not be available in the area of operation.

Bpos also help in economic development of the less developed countries and boost their employment levels. Despite criticism that it reduces employment in the home country a BPO encourages competition within the labour market and thus normalises the prices charged by them globally.
