Question

Does omega (w) becomes zero in DC circuit ?

Does omega (w) becomes zero in DC circuit ?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

In A.C. circuit frequency comes due to A.C. Current's oscillating nature where the current travels sinusoidally in positive and negative half cycle.

But in D.C. ( Direct current ) the current always flow in same cycle , it can be positive or negative half cycle.

So in D.C. current there is no frequency asoociated with it.

And we know that

w(omega) = 2 * pi * f

where f is frequency

So since f=0 in D.C. circuit therefore w(omega) also becomes zero.

Hence it is true that omega (w) becomes zero in DC circuit.

Design a three-bit counter like circuit controlled by the input w. If w = 1, then the counter adds 2 to its contents, wrapping around if the count reaches 8 or 9. Thus if the counter reaches 8 or 9, then the next state becomes 0 or 1, respectively. If w = 0, then the counter subtracts 1 from its contents, acting as a normal down-counter. Using D-FF in your circuit, find the input equations for the FF.
