To what extent can Marxist/Structuralist perspectives provide valuable insights in explaining contemporary IPE?

Marxism persepective within the IPE provide a large extent limited to the study of the ideology of Soviet state.this was untill the collapse of the Soviet Union where it was referred to as the Marxism leninism ideology.marx gives economic law ,these law support his theory of an unsupportable economic and political system under the regime of the capitalist system.in contemporary IPE Marx philosophy is very less explainable because these time most countries follow democracy and Marx believe in communalism .
