As an officer of the WHO, what programs would you fund if you wished to make the largest impact on health, given a budget allocation of $100 million.   Note: you don’t have to give an expense report for the 100 million, but rather how would you go about deciding what to do

Answer #1

$100 million is indeed a huge amount and a lot of development activities can be done where reduction of fatal rates and controlling the diseases is a main challenge nowadays. In this regards, it would be beneficial if certain diseases were shortlisted and medical facilities including vaccines and treatment be provided in the developing countries for those diseases which are fatal and mortality rate is high. This is the path that I would choose as preservation of mankind is something the extreme that any organisation can do.
