Based on your understanding of information processing theory, how is this particular theory useful to someone in their current work as well as their future career. How do you see this theory informing what you do? ( I am a high school mathematics teacher)

Information Processing Theory is a mental process involved in knowing, learning, and understanding things that focuses on how information is encoded into our memory.
Human Memory is classified into three types :
1) Sensory memory
2) Short-term memory or Working memory
3) Long-term memory
Sensory memory is everything that experiencing through our senses at any given moment.
Eg: Things we can hear, smell, see at that moment.
Short-term memory is what we remember things for very short periods.
Eg: Phone number.
Long-term memory is stored permanently in our brains.
Eg: Connecting the current topic with the topic that was learned in the previous lesson.
Information Processing Theory creates a long-term memory is something that happens in stages. That's why the Information Processing Theory is useful to someone in their current work as well as their future career.
