Perception is something which refers to the understanding of an individual that how someone understand and present information or a particular situation. Human beings normally see what they intend to see at the first place. One of the big examples is while someone is hungry, whatever he or she sees in front of him or her he or she relates that with food.
Behavior of an individual largely depends on perception. Attribution Theory is something which defines the fact that perception are surely determinants of behavior. There are three different types of test to examined behavior. They are:
If a manager faced an inaccuracy in perception, it can decrease or effect his or her effectiveness. One example is that, if a manager do not his or her skills or field he or she is capable to do the work than it would be difficult for him or her to perform the best in the organization.
Do you agree with the post above? why?
The content discussed in the post is appropriate, lucid and well explained. I completely agree with the concepts of perception discussed in the post. Perception is not actually the reality; it is in fact very different from objective reality. As discussed in this post, perception is the way individuals view a particular thing, understands it and interpret it. Individuals observe the things and add process this information and give it their own interpretation.
As far as attribution theory is concerned, it is internal and external. If there is consistency in behavior, then attribution is internal and if there is no consistency, then attribution is external.
