At present QR codes are used a lot to share the information with ease and quickly. But QR codes do not provide security i.e. anyone who will be able to scan the QR code will be able to get the complete information whether he is authorized to obtain the information or not. For example, if we use QR codes in place of text data on the parcel in the courier service, then we are able to protect the privacy of the customer from the person who are not having the QR scanner. But if a person do have a QR scanner, he will be able to scan the QR code and obtain the protected information and hence the privacy of the customer will be compromised. To solve this problem, we can create a mobile application that will secure the QR code information by restricting the amount of information that can be obtained. Before creating the QR code, we will divide the information into various access level as public, private and secret. we will use different password at different level to encrypt the information. For eg. public information will not be encrypted but private information will be encrypted using a secret key and secret information using other secret key. Now the generated QR code will have 3 types of information, if anyone scan the code he will be only able to obtain public information. To obtain private or secret information he should be having the corresponding secret keys. thus we will be able to secure the information in QR code.
