Answer #1

According to structural functionalism, society is a complex system whose parts work together to promote solidarity and stability. This would mean that everyone in the society are important in the smooth running of the society and that each one needs to cooperate and coordinate with the other in terms of solving the issues among others. It would also mean that one’s problem would affect the other because they all belong to the same system. Besides, most of white people were against slavery, supported civil rights and promote racial equality. This would mean that just because Daria belongs to the majority white, doesn’t mean that she cannot say anything about the minority issues. Minority issues may have caused by the majority or they may be independent of the majority interference but the opinion and support of the majority would help a lot to overcome the issues the minorities face.

Please respond to discussion reply in 1 paragraph. If you see a person who appears to be blind (white cane; service dog), what should you do to be of assistance to this person? I believe the first thing that we must keep in mind is that a person who is visually impaired should be treated with respect as we would any other person, as we are all human beings. I believe we should first ask of they need my assistance...

A cognitive Psychologist is interested to see if the color of ink when reading affects the speed at which a person recognizes words. Based on published studies, it is known that on average the general population takes µ = 880 milliseconds to recognize common words like apple, but the standard deviation for the population varies across these studies, so we do not know the population deviation. A psychologist presents a sample of n = 16 participants with common words that...

Brand loyalty is a key issue for monopolistic competitors. In fact, it's the key reason we say that economic profit "tends towards" zero and not automatically becomes zero in the long run (like perfect competition). Sure there are substitutes for Hostess Cupcakes, but let's be honest, a Little Debbie cupcakes are just terrible. I like Hostess so much more that I'd be willing to pay $3 more per box for my preferred brand. That's brand loyalty. What THREE brands are...

CRITICAL habits vs. counterproductive habits The most common habit is 'confirmation bias' (everything we see and know confirms what we already believe). And we tend to explain away any evidence that raises doubt about what we already believe. Another common habit is to ignore our fallibility (ways we can get things wrong). FOR EACH ONE, CHOOSE IF THE STATEMENT IS CONFIRMATION BIAS, IGNORING HUMAN FALLIBILITY, OR CRITICAL ATTITUDE: 1. Interpreting all the evidence as confirming what you already believe, and...
