I am writing my Chem Lab report about the dry ice experiment to measure the molar mass of CO2 using ideal gas law. I got a question, and I do not know how to answer it. It says: "By the way, what are you assuming about the behavior of the carbon dioxide?" Please help.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Behavior means in the sense of whether CO2 behaves as a Real gas or Ideal gas. Carbon dioxide behaves as Real gas.

Also write the following few words

Carbon Dioxide and Safety
Carbon dioxide is a non-toxic and non-flammable gas. However, exposure to elevated concentrations can induce a risk to life. Whenever CO2 gas or dry ice is used, produced, shipped, or stored, CO2 concentration can rise to dangerously high levels. Because CO2 is odorless and colorless, leakages are impossible to detect, meaning proper sensors are needed to help ensure the safety of personnel.

I am writing a lab report for an unknown bacterium. We randomly chose a broth culture labeled with a number and throughout the whole experiment we did not know which bacterium we had. Because of this I don’t know what my hypothesis should be since the bacteria wasn’t identified until after the results. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I am currently working on a lab for my general chem class and we are finding enthalpy. I believe I found the correct Delta Hs, but moving fowards to find enthalpy of solution salt, enthalpy of formation of the salt, enthalpy of formation anion, and enthalpy of formation of the cation I am very lost. I am conducting my Physics 1 Ideal Gas Laws Lab and have no ideal what equations to use to solve these problems please help!! 1. Using the ideal gas law compute the number of moles of the gas present in the Gas Law apparatus The gas constant for air is 286.9 J/kg◦K or J/kg◦C. Then determine the molecular mass of the gas in the Gas Law apparatus? 2. We can determine the molecular mass of air by considering nitrogen (N2),...
