alkane and Benzene doesnt react with Br2 test

alkene react wiith Br2 form the dibromo compound

alkane doesnt have any functional group so Br2 directly cannot react alkane

alkane only react with Br2 in the prescence of light

whereas alken eis having unsaturation whrn you treat this alken ewith Br2 water

Br2 will add acorss the double bond and gives dibromo compound

though Benzene is having unsaturation it doesnt directly react with Br2 because of its highly stabilised resonence energy
