Homework Answers

Answer #1

Al(OH)3(aq)+3 HBr(aq) -------->AlBr3(aq)+3H2O (l)                   molecular reaction

Al+3+3OH- + 3H+ +3Br- -------> Al+3+ 3Br- + 3H2O (l) ionic reaction

3OH- + 3H+ --------->3H2O(l) net ionic equation

2. Ca(OH)2+ 2HNO3-------->Ca(NO3)2+ 2H2O,

Ca+2+ 2OH- + 2H+ +2NO3- ---------->Ca+2+ 2NO3- + 2H2O, ionic

2H++2OH- -------->2H2O(l)- net ionic

3. K2O+ H2SO4-------> K2SO4+ H2O (l)

2K++O-2 +2H++SO4-2 ---------->2K++SO4-2 + H2O(l)

2H+ + O-2 -------->H2O(l)
