Answer #1

We know, for the purpose of filtration we use charcoal. This is done by activation of carbon. Activation is done in order to increase its surface area. Once its surface are of charcoal is increased then rate of adsorption of adsorbent on charcoal increase.

De colorization is the process in which the solution is made transparent. The color of the solution is due to the solute particles. Once solute are absorbed on charcoal solution automatically becomes colorless.
