why wont Cu react with Ni2+ ?
why wont Sn react with Ni2+?
In general, a metal can replace any metal which is lower in the reactivity series and since Cu is placed lower than Ni in reactivity series ..therefore Cu can not replace Ni or can not react as from moving top to bottom in reactivity series the reactivity decreases.
There occur same case as we move down the reactivity series the reactivity decreases and since Sn is placed below Ni in the rreactivity series therefore Sn can not react with Ni due to the low reactivity of Sn
