Is there a trick or an easier way to tell diastereomers apart from enantiomers and vice versa?

Answer #1

It is simple concepts

First we see what is isomer ..They are the molecules haveing same molecular formula but diffrent strucutures.

Now Stereoisomers they have same chemical formula, diffrent stuctural formula in 3 Dimentional space and the rotate plane of polarised light in diffrent directions.

molecules have two or more than two chiral center have diasteromers.

molecules which are not mirror images of each other called diasteriomers.

Here we say R is Mirror image of S

so in diasteromers one may be RS and other will be RR or SS hence we will not get mirror image of RS which is SR

The moon's distance from Earth varies in a periodic way that can be modeled by a trigonometric function. When the moon is at its perigee (closest point to Earth), it's about 363,000 km away. When it's at its apogee (farthest point from Earth), it's about 406,000 away. The moon's apogees occur 27.3 days apart. The moon will reach its apogee on January 222, 2016. Find the formula of the trigonometric function that models the distance D between Earth and the...

For the third time in the past 5 minutes, Jeremy’s fourth-grade teacher has had to tell him to sit in his seat and keep his hands to himself. It is as if Jeremy’s feet are attached to springs. He doesn’t walk; he bounces. He doesn’t sit; he squirms. It’s not just the motor activity that sets him apart from the rest of the class: Jeremy also has a motor mouth. He talks incessantly. He can’t resist sharing his ideas with...
