Importance of apiculture:

Apiculture provides two important products, honey & bee wax.

Honey is a highly nutrious food, which consists carbohydrates, enzymes, pigments, minerals, vitamins and water. It is used in preparation of biscuits, cakes, alcoholic drinkks, fish and poultry food. It is widely used in indigenous medicine.

Wax is used in cosmetics, polishes, ointements and is even used in several medicinal preparations.
