Why is it important to re-streak an isolation colony?

2-how do your organisms compare to the known contros?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

1. an isolated colony is developed from a single organism to maintain a pure and genetically unmutated sample of bacteria and also bacteria will die due to overpopulation and starvation if they are not replaced in another media which contains new nutrients for it to grow.
2. Biological control, is the use of living organisms to control pests. A natural enemy such as a parasite, predator, or disease organism is introduced into the environment of a pest and is encouraged to multiply and become more effective in reducing the number of pest organisms.
