Select a country or region endemic for each infection. Obtain statistics from the WHO and CDC web sites for the infections to support your response.

Giardiasis is a zoonotic diseases caused by the flagellate protozoan Giardia intestinalis which causes diarrheal disease. Endemic areas of the disease Giardiasis include Western mountain regions of USA (Rocky mountains, Sierra Nevada, Cascades).

Amebiasis is also a zoonotic diseases caused by the protozoan Entamoeba histolytica which causes amebic dysentery. It is endemic to tropics and underdeveloped countries of the world. This includes African continent and also the countries of Central and Latin America like Mexico, Brazil and Ecuador.

Trichomoniasis is a Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) caused by parasytic protozoan Trichomonas vaginalis and is most emndemic to USA.
