Zika virus was firstly reported in Africa 70 years ago. A man is get affacted by Zika vitus if a infected mosquito bite the man. Zika virus can be transmitted via -

1. Unborn babies can get affacted via mother.

2. Unprotected sex may also tranmitt the zika virus.

3. Infected mosquito also transmit the virus.

The main problem is with zika virus is that it can get enter into unborn babies and causes microcephaly. Microcephaly is a condition in which head is smaller and brain and skull is not properly developed.

Microcephaly can be only in unborn babies and the kids infected after birth doesn't have Microcephaly but some another symptoms may occur -

Rashes

Fever

Pink eyes etc.

There is not avaiavail specific vaccine but staying indoors and insect repellent use etc may be helpful.
