In this context, it has been reported a strong relation between hypertension and the marital status of individuals. Specifically, divorced, separated and widowed individuals shows more risk to suffer from hypertension. The reasons are numerous but there is a strong evidence that bad habits such as absence of physical activity, bad diet and smoking are the main reason why this peoples are un a higher risk of hypertension. Other reasons are hormonal imbalance due to depression or immunological conditions.
