What are muscle tissues? How is the function of this tissue related to the typical characteristics of its cells?

Muscles tissues are tissues made of cells able to perform contractions and therefore helps to generate movement.

There are three types of muscles tissues -

1.The function of musscle tissuse is to pull bone i.e. skeletal striated muscle.

2. To contract and move viscera and a vessels, i.e. smooth muscles.

3. To make the heart to beat, i.e. cardiac straited muscle.

Muscle cells have internal structures known as sarcomeres where myosin and actin molecules are deposited to create contractions and distensions i.e. movement.
