What are some common mistakes that new parents (or uninformed parents) and caregivers often make when feeding children that contribute to lifelong food-related issues? What would you suggest be included in a parenting class on how to make decisions about early feeding?

Answer #1

Answer- The common mistakes made by the parents in early feeding include the feeding of food other than breast milk before six months, feeding of too nutricious food to young ones which they can't digest. Negligence about the food items that can cause choking or waking the baby from sleep for feeding. These are the common mistakes that are made by new parents.

In a parenting class the lectures on the benefits of breast feeding, benefit and loss of the outer food sources, time interval between two subsequent feedings etc. Should be included.
