How have some organisms (animals) evolved to defend themselves from predation? Give examples.

Many animals were evolved to defend themselves from predation using different mechanisms, one such example is, "camouflage." This mechanism helps the organisms to turn their appearance in accordant to their surrounding environment, so it will be difficult for ht predators to identify them.

For example, the snow reduces the formation of melanin pigment in the Arctic hares, therefore they look completely like snow color and Camouflage. This can help to capture prey or to escape from predators.

Whereas meltdown of artistic snow increases the melanin pigmentation, which in turn results from the formation of different color patches on the fur coat. Therefore, this will increases the chances of getting captured by their predators.
