Can anyone solve this riddle?

I return from a birding trip and present Ann, Bob, & Joe this list of 8 bird species: Blue Grosbeak, Blue Jay, Brown Pelican, Brown Thrasher, Green Jay, Green Ibis, White Ibis, and White Pelican. I tell them I only saw one species from that list. I tell Ann only the color and I tell Bob only the type of bird. Ann says, “I can figure out that Bob can’t know.” Bob responds, “I couldn’t, but now I can figure it out.” Ann then says, “Now I know also.” Joe has been listening in and says, “I still don’t know which of those 8 species you saw, but it has to be either _____ or ______.” Which two species did Joe say?
