The main components that determine whether a group of birds flock together or not are-

1) it is based on the concept of ferromagnetic materials and it shows flocking. As the velocity vector of ferromagnetic material moves, the same way birds, on average move in the sane direction giving rise to a continuous long range.

2) Noise plays important role in whether the birds are going to flock together or not. If the noise and density are high at the same time, the birds do not flock , but low noise and low density causes them to flick together.

3)Birds tend to move in average direction of motion , compared with the neighbours. If the noise n motion both parallels together, they flock together.
