The determination of whether pencils are consumer products or business products is based on the purpose for which the pencils are purchased. Since business products are the products which are purchased and used by the businessman for the business purpose like for example pencil is purchased by the retailer of pencils for selling to consumers that is using for business purpose whereas consumer products are purchased and used by the consumers for their personal purpose like pencil is purchased by the consumer for their kids that is using it for personal purpose.
