Antimicrobial susceptibility is used to find out the possible drug/antibiotics interaction with disease causing micro-organisns and to know the susceptibility to the interested drug. The different microbes have different susceptibility to the drugs or antibiotics. So, organism can be differentiated on the basis of range of concentration of a drug which can inhibits the growth of microorganisms.

The result of this test expressed in the form of minimum inhibitory concentration , which is the minimum concertration of drug that inhibits the growth of microbes.
