Compare and contrast systemic and physiologic fibrinolysis.
systemic fibrinolysis
it occurs simultaneously with the initiation of clot formation - limits thrombosis to yhe local area - initates the process of clot reversion - vascular damage repair , and finally vessel canulation.
whilw the initial phase , the endothelial cells and plate lets release plasminogen activate inhibitors wich helps in fibrin formation at the time of hemostasis.plasminogen activators joins with prourokinase and converts plasminogen to plasmin. after plasmin formed at the area of the hemostatic plug, fibrinolysis occurs.
physiolgic fibrinolysis
this is the process of removing the clot formed by the activation of hemostatic pathways caused by trauma, pathological thrombus etc
plasmin is the principle mediator of fibrinnolysis.
fibrin itself combine with plasminogen activator and converts plasminogen to plasmin. it is formed by the proteolytic cleavage.
