the difference between generation - x and millennial's on emotional intelligence
In comparison to Generation X, Millenials have been raised in an environment with adequate emotional and financial support, and have received protection and nourishment by their parents. At the same time, Millennials have grown up in a digital era, communicating mainly via text, instant message or other electronic platforms that has created a potential gap in interpersonal skills. Lacking face-to-face interaction makes learning emotional intelligence difficult for Millenials. Therefore, they have the potential to develop high amounts of emotional intelligence because of their global outlook and relatively easier upbringing, but this potential needs to be leveraged.
