Answer #1

Exercise increase muscle protein synthesis which allows skeletal muscles to adapt to various types of exercises training .Exercise stimulates both muscle protein synthesis and breakdown but the amount of synthesis is more than the amount of breakdown. This leads to net muscle protein gain . Mixed meal consumption increases the muscle protein synthesis rate but suppresses muscle protein breakdown at the same time. Proteins are mainly responsible for the stimulatory effect on the muscle protein synthesis rate but on other hand it supresses the protein breakdown.
