When you look at a distant object, why would you move your head and eyes to an off-center position when one eye is dominant? Please explain.

Peoples have dominant left or right eye as the left handedness ir right handedness. But left handed man should not have compulsory to have left eye dominant. Some have left eye dominant and about 2/3 have left eye dominant and some have right eye dominant. Several cases both the eyes are equally effective in seeing. While seeing object placed at distance then dominant eyes is focused to see clearly. In order to focus dominant eye individual have to move his head to an off center position.
