Answer ) We need to understand what clones actually mean.

A single cell of the bacteria can multiply or expand in great magnitude to generate many many bacteria, each of which comprises of the same set of the original genetic material which is also a recombinant variety, therefore cumulatively the bacterial population as well as the DNA which is similar in all is refered to as a 'clone' of the bacteria.

Clones of Staphylococcus aureus are as follows :

1) The predominant cloen of staphylococcus aureus that is present in the United States is the MEthicillin resistant strain named by US300 (antibiotic resistance)

2) In canadian population, its the CMRSA -2 and HA-CMRSA

3) South/ Latin America CA- MRSA like CC5,CC8, CC30
