The egg shell has many minute pores which allows the passage of air and moisture into the egg. In addition to Calcium carbonate, egg shell aso contains minerals such as phosphorus (0.3 % ), magnesium (0.3 %) and traces of sodium, pottasium, iron, manganese, copper etc.
