Explanation : parotid gland are minor salivary gland contributing 20 % of saliva production,located in the Posterior to mandibular ramus, anterior and inferior to the ear and  at position 9th and 5th cranial nerve innervates the parotid gland.
•parotid gland act as minor salivary gland that secrete only serious fluid and provide a medium for dissolving food and lubricate the food so that it can be eaisily swallowed
