Answer #1

The pituitary gland is an endocrine gland located in the hypophyseal fossa of sella turcica in the brain.
Pituitary gland can be divided into anterior and posterior pituitary.
The anterior pituitary secretes following hormones :

- somatotropins : growth hormone

- corticotropins : ACTH

- gonadotropin : LH and fsh

- lactotropin : prolactin

- thyrotropins : thyroid stimulating hormone

All these hormones acts on other gland and stimulate them to secrete hormones or biological substances.
So option A is correct.

The ADH and oxytocin hormone are stored by the posterior pituitary. Sk statement B is false.
Anterior pituitary is the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland. So statement C is correct.
