Gas is the air that is present in tha digestive system of human body and are get rid from body by burping or by passing the flatus . It is a normal process that usually take place in Human digestive system.

Relationship to disease and health problems

It is a common symptom for disease like irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, condition like celiac disease as well as lactose intolerance.

In many disease condition patient start to produce large amount of hydrogen sulphide than that is usually made in body . These patients due to problem in digestive tract will not break down the gas that is usually broken down . This cause further damage if digestive tract and accumulation of hydrogen sulphide that will lead to large amount of flatus.

In some condition uncontrolled passing of flatus occur due to lack of control like in situation of angina and myocardial infarction
