Endometriosis results in inflammation and irritation which cause infertility. Inflammation of the fimbria which pick up the egg and transport it to the fallopian tube, results in the egg being swollen and scarred, as a result of which it does not reach its destination.

Endometriosis results in inhospitable conditions, which causes inflammation, resulting in damage to the egg and the sperm. Emdometriois can also result in blockage of the fallopian tubes. Endometriosis can also cause adhesions which result in the pelvic organs being stuck to each other.
