Phylogenetic analysis opsin gene firstly with cone pigment dominancy and evolution of rods pigments occured lastly.

Vertebrates have rods more than cones in their retina of eye. This is the reason they are able to see even in more darkness.

As evolution occur the pattern of rods and cones have changed themselves according to evolution fron ancestral retina cells pattern.

Area where lights abundance present differs from area where darkness present durin evolution and behavioural changes shown by animals behaviour to be in light or dark area.
