Food intolerance and Food allergies are conditions due to eating a certain food.

Food intolerance is inability to digest certain food beyond a limit. This may be due to

  • Some enzymes may have become non funtional
  • May be due to ageing
  • Enzymes are synthesized by body in inappropriate amount.

Food intolerance may cause nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea.

This may be for long time or even lifelong.

Food allergy is different from food intolerance. Food allergy is also due to certain foods ingested. The immune system of our body takes it as non self and cells of our immue system starts there function vigorously and causes allergic reaction.

This may be due to food product from some genetically engineered organisms in which the product formed is not exposed to our body and may act as allergen.

This may cause skin redness, mouth aches, rashes etc. This may not be cured and may be lifelong stayed.
