How would you explain the actions of vasopressin and aldosterone on the kidneys?
Action of aldosterone on kidney-
*In which renin covert angiotensinogen into angiotensin 1,which is
converted to angiotensin11 by an enzyme called angiotensin
converting enzyme(ACE),this Angiotensin 11 constricts blood vessels
and also stimulates aldosterone release leads to Na+ and water
retention thus raising blood pressure.
Vasopressin or called Antidiuretic hormone (ADH) , is a hormone produced by hypothalamus and released by a posterior pituitary, raises blood pressure by stimulating the kidneys to retain water with in the body which leads to increase in blood volume leading to raise in blood pressure .
